Nurit Chinn




Nurit Chinn is a playwright and screenwriter from London, currently based in Brooklyn. Her plays have been developed at The Bushwick Starr, Alliance Theatre, CUNY Segal Center, Centro Primo Levi, and supported by the Brooklyn Arts Council. Her play Godbird was produced at The Brick as part of the 2026 Exponential Festival, and will be published by Concord Theatricals. She is currently developing an original TV project with Amazon.

Nurit is a first year fellow in the Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Program at Juilliard. She is an alum of the New Jewish Culture Fellowship, the Neighborhood’s Working Artist Group, and the Royal Court Theatre’s Writers’ Group. Her plays have been finalists for the Princess Grace Award, the Playwrights Realm Writing Fellowship, the Alliance/Kendeda Award, and shortlisted for the U.K.’s Women’s Prize in Playwriting. Nurit won the Concord Theatricals OOB Festival in 2025. 

Nurit is the Co-Director of The Exponential Festival. She has taught undergraduate playwriting at Brooklyn College. BA: Yale University. MFA: Brooklyn College, Playwriting. NPX
